What Is A Paid Online Survey

What Is A Paid Online Survey

Have you been wondering about ways to earn some cash on the side? For instance, when you have evenings spent in watching television or reading posts on Facebook?

And is that really relaxing, or would you be more at ease with some money coming in?

Maybe you’ve wondered what is a paid online survey. Have you thought about trying them out?

Paid surveys are not known to dole out money that could replace your paycheck, no. But if you have time on your hands it may be worth your while to earn a little, or get a gift card for points earned on a survey site, like an Amazon card you can shop with.

This page contains affiliate marketing links. We may get paid a commission on the sale of a product or service recommended here. This does not change your price, you pay what the vendor advertises.

I experimented with survey taking on Swagbucks.

“Swagbucks, the flagship of Prodege, has 11 million users and has since
its founding in 2008 given out $67 million in free retail gift cards
through a number of different engagement measures. Members can win
Swagbucks for a range of activities including playing games, watching
videos, shopping, using search, and participating in polls.” – Upstart Bizjournals

If I recall correctly, I did get $25.00 for doing a survey whose participants were specialized in one particular field. The focus was a particular piece of equipment related to that job.

It took a few days to get accepted to participate the survey, and I could have easily missed the opportunity. I only spent a couple of hours, and not every day, on that survey site. I just lucked out at seeing it in the surveys line up to qualify for at that moment.

That survey took about an hour to get through, so it was definitely worth my time.

How much do you get paid for completing surveys?

If you start searching for the answer to this question, first you will see ads at the top of the search results page.

These sites offer images of perhaps a “Pay Calculator” where you fill in hours and expected pay, and you’ll end up with a very attractive number.

If you thought this was possible, you’d easily pay money – something like $49.00 – monthly to join and do surveys, right? We’re talking about $8,000.00 a month!

Think about it.

If that were possible, wouldn’t a lot of people you know be doing this working from home by now?

Would I be sitting here writing this blog article in hopes of giving you a real opportunity to make money online?

No siree, I’d be logged into a survey site busy as a little bee buzzing through those surveys as fast as I could!

Are Paid Online Surveys Legit

Many are, but there are scams out there.

The first warning is when you are asked to pay for access to surveys, or for membership to a web site that supposedly has filtered through the low paying survey sites, and will give you opportunities to the highest paying surveys.

How many of these sites work is through affiliate marketing.

That works like this:

  1. You come across the site that is well SEO optimized (will explain below!)
  2. You sign up to buy a “best surveys” list for $25.00 giving your name and email address
  3. You click through an affiliate link to do so
  4. The site owner gets a commission for sending you there to buy
  5. The end user sells your information
  6. You get tons of spam emails selling everything including the kitchen sink

You do not need to pay to take surveys.

What you must do, is answer a lot of questions before every survey you take, to see if you are in the right demographic. This can be extremely time consuming. My personal take away from participation was that there is a fairly narrow bottle neck into the actual survey.

If you are a young house holder at home, for example with a new baby and no other children, you might have the time for enough surveys to gain a few $5.00 Amazon cards per month.

The demographic to mostly qualify for surveys are young to middle age individuals who are building a household and raising a family. In other words, consistent consumers with a low to middle income.

This is the group that will be ready to buy:

  • Large appliances
  • Cars
  • Home furniture
  • Home lighting
  • Home security systems
  • Garden and patio furniture
  • Garage shelving and storage
  • Storage in general
  • Pool equipment
  • Fencing and gates
  • Banks/loans/mortgages

Is There A Better Way To Make Money Online?

One of the reasons I ended up making this blog to help seniors and the disabled to make money working from home, is that these two groups in particular, for the most part, don’t qualify for many surveys. Why?

  • Lower income  – especially retired or “can’t retire” women – yet, anybody in that bracket
  • Most marketing groups are not targeting lower income Anybody.

One exception may be the drug marketers, because seniors and disabled people are often on life long prescription medication. But medicine surveys are not enough in volume to make more than a couple of $5.00 cards a month.

I was already affiliate marketing when I created this blog.

I created it to recommend a membership training site that teaches how to make a good blog from the ground up.

I mean, by a good blog, one that is configured to give you the best chance to work your way up the google pages, getting ahead of the enormous competition.

There are special ways to do that like SEO optimization that I mentioned above. This is just one special method –  a secret trick to all those buyers shopping on line.

SEO means Search Engine Optimization. You used a search engine to get to this page. That just didn’t happen by itself. I used a software tool to find the Key Words that people use to land here, right here where you are.

That’s one in about twenty essential secret weapons to fighting your way through online bloggers many of whom are very good at affiliate marketing.

Which doesn’t mean you can’t compete.

It depends what you want to blog about.

I know one person who successfully promotes a specialized toilet seat from Japan. I kid you not. The competition is low for that product, because it is a niche product,  a very small market.

Another one, for instance is a self cleaning kitter litter box. That is a wider niche, but still it’s specialized.

The Benefits Of Professional Blog Training

Firstly, you will make money with a blog made the right way.

Secondly, no matter how much time you have to put in, and it may be 20+ hours a week for a few months, you will own a web site which you can develop and earn from for years.

One huge benefit of correct blog training is having access to constant updates (WordPress, Google, data collection laws, occuring randomly). This keeps your site fresh, and legal!

There is so much more to add, and I could spell it out in 30 or more classrooms…But someone already has!

No reinventing the wheel… just click over to a free viewing of real classrooms, for a week.

Oh and btw, you’ll be able to launch two blogs (which you get to keep) and you’ll see how this works!
